About Our Artists

Joy Fellows, violist currently holds the positions of Associate Principal Viola in the San Francisco Opera, and is a Violist in the San Francisco Ballet.  Formerly, she was Assistant Principal Viola in the San Francisco Ballet, Associate Principal Viola of the Indianapolis Symphony, was a member of the St. Louis Viola section, and spent two years as a fellow at New World Symphony in Miami.

Ms. Fellows loves playing chamber music, has the pleasure of having played in many chamber festivals across the country, and enjoys performing with many colleagues in the Bay Area in several local series.

Ms. Fellows attended the University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate degree where she studied with Wayne Crouse and Matthew Dane. She received her Masters degree from The Juilliard School where she studied viola with Samuel Rhodes and chamber music with Robert Mann.
